Just across the water, about 30 minutes by fast catamaran, from Ibiza is a wonderful paradise island- Formentera. The island does not have an airport and has a population of just over 7000. Part of the Balearics, this little island, which is about 19 kilometers long, has a beautiful selection of coastline with some excellent white, sandy beaches.
Each year the island draws a huge amount of tourists, a great majority of which tend to be Italian. During peak season, July and August, it is essential to book your accommodation well in advance. The hotels on the island are mostly small in the 2 and 3 star categories.
Ibiza has become a top destination for weddings and blessings, and its sister island Formentera has been following in its footsteps. The island now supports a number of good wedding venues and because it’s just across the water from Ibiza, many of the service providers from there are quite happy to travel to Formentera to offer their services for a wedding.
