Three of the hotels belonging to the GPS chain were forced to close at the end of last week. Although the orders had been decreed several months beforehand, the Group had presented numerous appeals, the last of which was rejected on Friday. The hotels concerned are the Panoramic, and Tropical Garden, which are part of the Luxmar complex in Ses Figuretes, and the Atzaró in Playa d’en Bossa.
The Administrator, Javier Perelló, who was appointed when the owner of the Group was sent to prison, expressed his indignation as to the timing of the closures, as all the establishments were completely full, with people wishing to attend the closing parties of all the major discotheques, and the Tribunal was closed for the weekend to receive any possible appeals. A total of 493 clients were staying in the three hotels and had to be found alternative accommodation.
