Two hotels have been selected by the Kiwi Collection for the excellent image they accord the island. This publication is considered by Forbes Magazine to be on a similar level as the Michelin Guide is to the catering trade. Ocean Drive in Botafoc Marina and Aguas de Ibiza in Santa Eulalia are the two establishments which have been chosen for inclusion in the prestigious publication. Hoteliers are contacted to ascertain their willingness to accept the invitation and then the inspectors visit during two or three days to rigorously examine the facilities offered. The hoteliers do not have the option of paying for inclusion in the guide and the premises are selected by stringent criteria. A representative commented, “It is our decision and the standards we apply are very high”. He went on to say, “The clients who use our publication will never be defrauded as only the top establishments are included”. The company has offices in Britain and Canada and recommends 2,200 hotels in 128 countries.
